Agios Georgios is a traditional mountain village located in the Rachoni area on the north side of the island. It is a quiet area and is the perfect place to stay if you would like to experience the traditional way of living in the village. The village is only 3 KM from the beaches.

Agios Georgios offers the best of all worlds on our beautiful island. It allows the visitor to live within and sample the traditional Greek village life, have access to clean and gently shelving nearby sandy beaches within a short and easy stroll, being well supplied with good road transport to the nearby towns of Prinos and Limenas, where you can shop at the largest supermarket, almost a hypermarket, on the island, and to be able to eat in traditional restaurants in the old part of the village, and the more touristy restaurants on the beach.

It is only a few minutes from the main ferry port of Prinos with its health Centre, excellent access to the mainland, developing national park with its woods, and original sand dunes, and the weekly attraction of the local market.

Equally it is little more than 10 minutes drive from Limenas, Thassos town, which can be reached via the regular bus service or in one of the local taxis or in your hire car.

The adjacent beach, offers a wide range of beach bars, snack bars, restaurants and extensive water sports.

It is the ideal location for those who love the traditional, and yet enjoy the occasional contact with other tourists.
