The small seaside resort of Pachis is located barely seven kilometres distant from Thassos Town, the capital town of the island. It is one of the most enchanting and idyllic locations on the island, with its fabulous beaches, the stunning mountain backdrop, the numerous olive groves all around, and overall the colours of this natural beauty and the landscape offer a fabulous sense of peace and well-being to the visitors to this special place.

Because the resort is located beyond the buildable zones of the island, everything that has been built here, has been constructed on former agricultural land, with all of the constraints that requires, thus all of the buildings in this region, have large landscaped grounds and natural spaces around them. It is no distance whatsoever from the main town, with very easy access to all the nearby towns and their facilities on the round island road, and is very well located, being midway between the two main ports of the island, Limenas, and Prinos. Prinos also offers the medical centre for the island, as well as its weekly, on Mondays, people's market, making it one of the most practical and attractive locations for family holidays.

There are wide and narrow stretches of sandy beach in the area, and they give the area a particular characteristic colouring the landscape as far as one can see. The pine trees and the olive trees virtually sweep down to the sea, and tucked amongst them are restaurants with excellent reputations who will offer you a wide range of local and international dishes – mostly locally sourced – and the catch of the day will be a special treat which they will offer to you – only hours after the fish has been caught.
